To the Editor:

The Community Center Commission completed the last of its public forums today, and I would like to thank all of those who came to voice their opinions, present their concerns and ask questions. It was an impressive demonstration of civil discourse and the democratic process at work.

Those present were respectful of the ideas and contributions of others and each speaker brought something to the discussion that helped us through the process. It really is nicer in Newtown.
