Grant For Citizenship Exam

DANBURY — The Jewish Federation has been awarded a grant to prepare older immigrants and refugees for their citizenship exam.

The grant was awarded by the Connecticut Legal Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition and was obtained with the assistance of State Sen Kevin Sullivan. The goal is to place 200 persons in customized citizenship training classes conducted by refugee voluntary agencies and ethnic organizations at three to six locations around the state.

Classes in Danbury will begin in mid-March. For more information, contact Laurie Kilchevsky at 203/794-1818.
