For Kids

“Paint, Draw & More!,” children’s drawing classes with Susan Jackson, taught by Dhyann Samuelson, will begin its winter schedule at Dick Blick Art Store in Newtown on February 29.

Winter Session II runs February 29 through April 11, with classes meeting each Tuesday afternoon at the Sand Hill Plaza store. Classes are held from 4 to 5 pm for ages 5-8, and 5 to 6 pm for ages 9-13.

Children will learn to draw in a non-judgmental, nurturing environment. They will use a variety of materials to draw what they see and to enhance their drawings with their own creative ideas. Drawing concepts like design, shading, and perspective will all be taught.
