Federation Plans Super Sunday
Federation Plans Super Sunday
DANBURY â Volunteers and professionals will join together on Sunday, February 25, to ask the community to help raise funds for Jews in need in America and throughout the world.
The Jewish Federation has called the day âSuper Sundayâ and is making an effort to contact all Jewish families in the region to ask for support.
A new dimension this year, in addition to making calls, is the collection of stuffed animals for the âShare-a-Bearâ program; business clothing for âDress for Successâ; and nonperishable food to be donated to the local food pantry. These items will be shared with those outside the Jewish community in the greater Danbury area.
Drop-off sites include the Sonics & Materials in Newtown on February 25, from 9 am to 1 pm and 4 to 8 pm; United Jewish Center in Danbury on February 25, from 9 am to 1 pm; Congregation Bânai Israel in Danbury and Temple Shearish Israel in Ridgefield on the morning of February 25; Temple Sholom in New Milford on February 26 through 28, from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm; Temple Bânai Chaim in Georgetown, the mornings of February 16 through 25.
