Richard A. Locke

Richard A. Locke, 60, a dispatcher for the Bethel Police Department, died February 10 at his home. Mr Locke was the husband of Brenda (Gordon) Locke and lived at 8 Dogwood Terrace, Newtown.

Mr Locke was born in Worcester, Mass., August 26, 1939, a son of the late Ernest and Goldie (Lomax) Conyea. He served in the US Army. He was employed by the Bethel Police Department for 11 years and had been a resident of Newtown for 14 years. He was a member of VFW Post 672 in Brewster, N.Y. Mr Locke was a hunter and fisherman.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Erika Locke of Newtown; a brother, William Conyea of New York; and two sisters, Diane Perrelli of North Haven and Denise Beckwith of Milford.

A memorial service was held February 15 at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.
