Discussion On ‘The Educated Child’

Airing on Cable TV

The new book, The Educated Child, A Parent’s Guide from Pre-School Through Eighth Grade, was discussed by two of its authors, William J. Bennett and Chester Finn, Jr, a few weeks ago on C-SPAN2. They spoke at the Manhattan Institute. The taped discussion is now being shown on the Channel 21 cable access show Inside Education.

The discussion will be shown in two parts, the first on Monday from 1:30 to 2 pm, and the last on Friday evenings from 9:30 to 10 pm through March 3.

The Educated Child, A Parent’s Guide from Pre-School Through Eighth Grade is now available for purchase in bookstores.

On a related matter, several months ago, the Heritage Foundation ran a conference on excellent public urban schools called “No Excuses.” The recorded speeches from that conference may now be heard on the Internet at noexcuses.org.
