Photography Basics At Camera Club Meeting
Frank Gardner, a Newtown resident with more than 40 years photography experience, will present a program of the basics at the next meeting of Flagpole Camera Club, Thursday, February 19. The group will be in the meeting room at C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street.
Mr Gardner says he intends to focus on the many aspects of todayâs digital cameras and how the photographer can utilize them.
A good portion of Mr Gardnerâs program will feature a âShow and Tellâ with an emphasis on an exchange with Flagpole members and guests. He plans to create a dialog while illustrating his points with photographs he has taken over the years â both the good and the bad, he says.
Mr Gardner has entered many competitions in the past 25 years, and has judged competitions at several camera clubs in Connecticut. He also serves as judge chairman of Candlewood Camera Club in Danbury.
The Flagpole membersâ monthly competition is on the subject âMacros.â Color and black and white prints may be entered and a second category of Open competition will also be judged at the meeting.
The Flagpole club meets on the third Thursday of each month. Guests and visitors are always welcome and information is available at FlagpolePhotographers.com.
