JANET RIKER WILL BE GUEST CURATOR AT CHESTERWOODâS SCULPTURE EXHIBIT

STOCKBRIDGE, MASS. â Chesterwood Museum Director J. Andrew Brian has announced that the guest curator of the 29th Contemporary Sculpture at Chesterwood outdoor exhibition is Janet Riker, director of the University Art Museum at the University at Albany.
Prior to moving to the Albany area in 2004, Riker was director of the Rotunda Gallery in Brooklyn, N.Y. for 14 years. She served as director of the Queensborough Community College Art Gallery, Bayside, N.Y., and assistant aurator at the Drawing Center in New York City. Riker holds an MA degree in art history from Columbia University and BA from Alfred University. She has organized dozens of exhibitions of contemporary visual arts.
Contemporary Sculpture at Chesterwood is a juried invitational exhibition in which all media suitable for outdoor installation and viewer safety are appropriate. The exhibition opening is scheduled for Friday, June 22, and will run through October 14.
