CPR Recertification

A Professional CPR Recertification was held at the Newtown Ambulance garage on Sunday. The class was requested by the local fire companies – Newtown, Sandy Hook, Hawleyville, Dodgingtown, and Botsford – so that newer fire personnel could become American Red Cross CPR certified, which is done annually. A lifeguard who needed CPR training also participated in the class. Instructors Mary Hugo, Sean LaPak (Hawleyville deputy police), and Kris Peterson held the community education training class from 8 am to 4 pm.                                         —Bee Photo, Damon
