Mary Sampley
Mary Anne (Killian) Sampley, of Newtown, passed away February 7, 2020. She was born in Bridgeport, Conn., on January 31, 1932, the daughter of the late Stanley J. Killian and Anne (Kelly) Killian.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Albert F. Sampley.
Mary was a retired school teacher, spending 38 years in the Monroe, Conn., school system.
In addition, Mary and her husband operated a successful antiques business, Almar Antiques, in Wells, Maine, for three decades.
She was a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University in 1953 and earned her Masters Degree and library science certification from Fairfield University.
She spent many years alongside her husband in the Civil Air Patrol Squadron of Monroe, Conn.
Mary loved children and was dedicated to enriching their lives, helping them to find their uniqueness and confidence.
She was quick witted and compassionate. A beautiful woman with an electric smile and warm kind heart. She will be deeply missed by her dear friends, the Albanese family.

Funeral services were private. Interment was at Newtown Village Cemetery.
Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, was in charge of arrangements.
