Newtown Toastmasters Are Now Official
On January 19 Newtown Toastmasters celebrated a charter presentation from representatives of Toastmasters International.
Twenty local residents received certificates as charter members. The evening, which was held in The Alexandria Room at Edmond Town Hall, also included a presentation by David Wheeler, District 53 Governor of Toastmasters International, and Brian Cavanaugh, Area D5 Governor. The keynote speaker was local business owner Stephen Singlak, who provided insights on how Toastmasters has helped him with his business and personal growth.
Cindy Hall, president of Newtown Toastmasters, stated, âThis is a very exciting time for an organization that has been working toward to this goal for over a year. We look forward to supporting the lifelong learning of our members and helping people achieve their personal goals.â
Newtown Toastmasters provides self-paced leadership and communications programs, based on curriculum refined for almost a century. Since its founding in 1924, Toastmasters International has helped more than four million men and women develop their public speaking skills and become confident leaders and communicators.
