Nighthawk Swimmers Defeat Bethel And New Milford

Newtown High School’s boys’ swimming and diving team defeated visiting Bethel 94-81 on Senior Night, February 4 then topped visiting New Milford 101-77, in the final home meet of the season, on February 9. Top Newtown finishers in the Bethel meet are as follows:

The Nighthawks will cap off the regular campaign February 17 at Weston in a makeup which was postponed by snow earlier this winter. The South-West Conference Championships get underway March 2 with the diving competition, and continue March 4 with the swimming events — both at 6 pm at Masuk High in Monroe.
