Brian J. Fischer, Sr, 53, of Hamden, died suddenly in Milford, February 1. He was born in Baldwin, N.Y., August 2, 1957, the son of Herman Sr and Leona Mott Fischer of Hamden, and resided in Connecticut since 1985.

Besides his mother, six siblings, including Christopher Fischer of Newtown, and two children survive Mr Fischer. His father and two siblings predeceased him.

He was a manager for several area large grocery stores’ fish departments. An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting and fishing. Mr Fischer was a devoted member of AA and offered much of his time in helping others.

Funeral services were held February 8. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven.
