Kodak Enters Into Alliance With TUV Rheinland

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Eastman Kodak Company has chosen TUV Rheinland of North America, Inc to be the company’s regulatory, compliance, and testing agent worldwide.

Under terms of the agreement, TUV Rheinland of North America, which is headquartered in Newtown, will facilitate product commercialization and compliance for all Kodak products manufactured and sold across the globe. Under a separate agreement, TUV Rheinland of North America will also assist in increasing the use of Kodak’s Rochester, N.Y.-based equipment product safety and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing laboratories.

Kodak began its search for prospective global product safety and EMC service provider in 2003. After an extensive review of all the major product testing and certification companies with global presence and US-based headquarters, TUV Rheinland of North America was chosen. Contract details were just recently finalized.
