Missing ‘An Extremely Nice Person’
To the Editor:
I have been a trustee on the board of the Newtown Historical Society for over 30 years, and I have been putting on antique shows for a couple of antique organizations for years.
So in 2011, I put one on for the Historical Society at the Reed School. At 9 am that day I was standing at the door greeting attendees when Lincoln Sander walked in the door.
He was our president at the time.
He looked around and said “wow, this is beautiful!” I was flattered to death that a person who used to be the head of the Antique Dealers Association liked my show. I was already exhausted having been up since 5 am, but he made my day!
Lincoln was an extremely nice person and very intelligent. I learned a lot from him. I miss him already.
