Newtown High School’s dance team competed in the South-West Conference championships, at New Milford High, on February 8, and won both the Jazz and Hip Hop categories.

Coached by Cheryl Stenz, the NHS squad is led by senior captains Audrey Botta, Emily Dunford, Caroline Hancock, and Kyra Masone. Other seniors are Ericka Pontore, Samantha Kuruc, Kylie Maddox, and Mackenzie Bennett; juniors are Olivia McAndrew, Paige Armstrong, Adriana Russo, Summer Gordon, and Grace Capelli; sophomores are Sara Olam and Mackenzie Roszman; and freshmen are Julia Bradbury, Ava Warner, Allie Kinsey, Brenna Navin, Ashley Schrader, and Devyn Reilly.
