Lauren O’Connell

O’Connell competes in indoor and outdoor track and field at Newtown High School. Her events are the pole vault and long jump.

Favorite part about competing: “I love how the team is really excited to go. We like to get out and do our best.”

Toughest aspect: “The workouts - but they’re still fun because you get to them with your friends.”

Favorite subject: Ceramics.

Team she roots for: Steelers.

Food of choice: “I love every type of food.”
