Barry & Jamie Schroeder

Jamie Ryan Cavanaugh and Barry Richard Schroeder were married on August 20, 2011. The marriage ceremony was conducted by Bill Bosch, and it was followed immediately by a reception at The Candlewood Inn in Brookfield. It was, according to the bride and groom, “a beautiful day.”

The bride was given into marriage by her parents, Paulette and Bill Cavanaugh of Newtown.

For her wedding day, Jamie wore strapless lace dress by Marisa Bridals, and carried a bouquet of white roses and matching hydrangea.

The bride’s sister, Erin Holland of Williamstown, Mass., was her matron of honor. Her bridesmaids were Caitlin Collier (of New Jersey), Erica Schroeder (Connecticut), Amy Nakaranuruck (New York), Catherine Foster (Pennsylvania), and Lindsey Berden (Massachusetts). They wore strapless navy blue dresses designed by Alfred Sung and carried bouquets of yellow roses and white hydrangea.

The groom is the son of Craig Schroeder of Winsted and the late Lisa Schroeder.

His best man was Craig Schroeder of Providence, R.I. Ushers were Chris Palmer (Connecticut), Brian Jones (Massachusetts), Mike Sikora (Massachusetts), Shawn Cavanaugh (California), and Brendan Cavanaugh (Connecticut).

The couple’s nephews — Patrick Holland of Williamstown, Mass., and Leo Nakaranuruck of Ithaca, N.Y. — served as ring bearers.

Jamie is a graduate of Newtown High School and Keene Stage College. Barry is a graduate of The Gilbert School, Trinity College, and Suffolk Law School. He is an attorney.

The couple celebrated their wedding with a trip to Grand Cayman Island. The Schroeders live in Newton, Mass.
