Two Men Arrested On Recklessness Charges
Police said that late on the morning of February 4, they received a report that two men were walking on The Boulevard, blocking vehicular traffic there.
Police said they went to the area to investigate and then located the two men walking out of the Bank of America branch office at Newtown Shopping Village at 6 Queen Street.
The two men are Adam J. Samuels, 23, of 128 Hanover Road, and Robert Coffey, 22, of Stratford, police said.
According to police, Samuels repeatedly used obscene language during their investigation into the incident.
Police said they charged Samuels with reckless use of the highway by a pedestrian and with second degree breach of peace. Police released Samuels on a written promise to appear February 21 in Danbury Superior Court.
Police said they issued Coffey an infraction ticket for reckless use of the highway by a pedestrian, a violation which carries a fine that is payable by mail.
