Newtown Middle School Teacher For
25 Years
Robert W. Wallace, 82, of Yardley, Penn., died February 3 at Chandler Hall Hospice in Pennsylvania. Born in Sheridan, Wyo., Mr Wallace was a resident of Wyoming and Connecticut before moving to Yardley 12 years ago.
Mr Wallace taught at Newtown Middle School for 25 years prior to his retirement.
He is survived by his beloved wife Beverlie Dunham Wallace and was the devoted father of Deidre Stecker, Morrisville, Penn., Scott Wallace of Greeley, Colo., and Miles Wallace of Norwalk. He is also survived by his son-in-law Harold Stecker of Morrisville. Mr Wallace was the proud grandfather of Emily, Abigail, James, Rachel, and Sarah and her husband, Jason. His great-grandson, Benjamin, also survives him.
Mr Wallace was a veteran of WWII, serving in the US Army. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart. A former employee of Jones of New York, he was also an avid gardener and sports fan.
Private services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family under the direction of the Beck/Givnish Funeral Home, 7400 New Falls Rd, Levittown, PA.
A memorial service and reception will be held March 26 at the Newtown Meeting House on Main Street from 2 to 5 pm.
