DANBURY – Oasis Children’s Services is preparing for its first Summer Day Camp program at Western Connecticut State University for boys and girls ages 5 to 13.

The idea behind the Oasis philosophy is simple: “Kids don’t have to leave their local neighborhoods to have the best summer of their lives.” Oasis will take advantage of the WCSU athletic facilities, including baseball fields, tennis courts, swimming pool and gym.

Oasis specializes in partnering with local school districts, colleges or community parks departments while transforming undeveloped open spaces into engaging, safe physical play spaces for children. Oasis has been operating summer day camps since 2000, with the first being at Central Park in Manhattan.

There will be a wide range of creative and outdoor activities to share in, taught by specialists in their given fields. A Family Open House will be held Monday, March 6, to introduce the Oasis program to area parents.

Call 1-800-319-1392 for further information.
