Historical Society Program Postponed; Additional Closings Announced
Due to the weather today, Newtown Historical Society has decided to postpone tonight’s scheduled program, “Women’s Work In WWII.” A new date for the program will be an-nounced.
Groups, organizations and businesses that will be affected by today’s snow are invited to contact Newtown Bee Associate Editor Shannon Hicks at shannon@thebee.com, to have that information shared on The Bee’s website and social media.

C.H. Booth Library has closed for the day.
Library Director Brenda J. McKinley promises that “as always, fines will not be charged for items due today.”
Queen Street Gifts & Treats is closed for the day.
Club NewFit has closed for the early afternoon, but plans to reopen at 5 pm, according to its Facebook page. There will not be any classes tonight, however, and a Parks & Rec volleyball clinic that was scheduled for today has been cancelled.
Tonight’s Conservation Commission meeting has been cancelled
