Hot Cat Jazz Band

On Friday, February 16, Newtown Congregational Church will host a performance by The Hot Cat Jazz Band. Showtime is 8 pm.

Tickets can be purchased in advance for $12 adults and $10 for seniors, or at the door for $15 and $12 respectively. Tickets can be purchased weekdays at the church office (14 Church Street, use the church’s lower entrance).

Since 1990, The Hot Cat Jazz Band has been one of the hottest Dixieland and swing jazz bands on the East Coast. The band is increasingly popular for its exciting and entertaining performances, coupled with hard blowing and original arrangements of traditional jazz standards.

The band will be playing some swing and New Orleans favorites from its records Hot Cat Boogie, which will include “When The Saints Go Marching In,” “Tiger Rag” and “Bourbon Street Parade,” among others.
