Peterson’s “Kitchen Design Trends”

RIDGEFIELD — On Thursday, February 24, at 8 pm, noted author and designer Mary Jo Peterson will give a talk entitled “Kitchen Design Trends” at Ridgefield Library. She will cover all the current styles, finishes, materials and products that can help homeowners take best advantage of what’s available in their kitchen.

Ms Peterson’s philosophy is that today’s kitchen is no longer an isolated work space for one household member, but rather “the heart and command central of our homes.” The author and teacher of the National Kitchen and Bath Association’s training program on universal design, Ms Peterson has written Designing the Universal Kitchen, Designing the Universal Bath and most recently, McGraw Hill released her third book, Gracious Spaces.

Her presentation is free and open to the public. It will be held in the Dayton Program Room. For more information, call Susan Verrilli, the library’s adult program coordinator, at 203/438-2282. Ridgefield Library is at 472 Main Street (Route 25).
