Wooster School Education Speaker Series: âCreating A Climate For Learningâ
DANBURY â Wooster School will launch a new speaker series, âFocus on Ethical Education,â featuring Jonathan Cohen, PhD, as its first speaker. The new series will expand the schoolâs message of ethical education and share this knowledge with the larger community.
Dr Cohen will address âCreating A Climate For Learningâ on Thursday, February 21. The program will be in the Middle School Common Room on the Wooster School campus, at 91 Miry Brook Road. The evening will start with a reception at 7 pm, to be followed by the program at 7:30 pm and includes a question and answer session.
A well-known educator, clinician, and author, Dr Cohen is also president of the Center for Social and Emotional Education. A practicing clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst, Dr Cohen is an adjunct professor at Teachers College, Columbia University, and the School of Professional Studies, City University of New York.
He has worked in and with Kâ12 schools for more than 30 years. Dr Cohen is widely published and his work was most recently cited in The New York Times Sunday magazineâs cover story on âWhat Makes Us Want to Be Good,â January 13, 2008.
