Alexander Kosowski, Newtown High School class of â97, has achieved deanâs list for the fall 2000 semester at Penn State University, State College, Penn. Mr Kosowski, a senior at PSU majoring in electrical engineering, is the son on Mary and Ted Kosowski of Alexandria, Va.
Sarah McLoughlin of Newtown was recently named to the deanâs list at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Penn. Miss McLoughlin is a sophomore majoring in English.
St Joseph High School in Trumbull has announced its deanâs list for the second marking period at the school. Newtown students who were named include freshman Meghan Bartow, daughter of Mr and Mrs John Bartow, to principalâs honor roll; junior Anthony Bombaci, son of Mr and Mrs Wayne Bombaci; and freshmen Johanna Bombaci, daughter of Mr and Mrs Wayne Bombaci, and Holly Phaneuf, daughter of Mr and Mrs Robert Phaneuf, to the honor roll.

Karina Wolfe of Sandy Hook has been named to the fall semester deanâs list at Marywood University. She is a member of the Music Therapy Club, orchestra, concert choir, and cross-country team. She competed in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Championship and represented the university in the Eastern Division Cross-Country Championship in November. Miss Wolfe is a music therapy major and a 1998 graduate of Newtown High School.
Alexandra Zaleta, junior and psychology major at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., earned a 4.0 grade point average for the fall semester. Miss Zaleta successfully completed summer studies at Harvard University Cambridge, MA, also with a 4.0 grade point average. She is the daughter of Eugene and Juliana Zaleta of Newtown.
