Nighthawks Skate Past Trumbull

Newtown High School's hockey team skated to a 5-3 victory over host Trumbull High, at The Rinks at Shelton, on February 6.
Goaltender Kyle Murphy made 21 saves. Domenic Cartelli had two goals and an assist, Sean Ferris had a goal and two assists, Scott McLean netted a goal and assisted on another and Lucas O'Brien also lit the lamp.
The Nighthawks bounced back from a 6-0 loss to EO Smith-Tolland on February 3 to improve to 8-7 overall. Newtown returns to the ice on Wednesday, February 10 when Masuk of Monroe visits Danbury Arena for an 8:20 pm faceoff.
