Trinity Episcopal Church will host a discussion series for Lent based on the Adam Hamilton book, 24 Hours That Changed the World.

The forum will give participants the chance to reflect on the suffering and crucifixion making up the last day of the life of Jesus of Nazareth and how that single event changed the course of human history. Participants will also visit, via DVD, the Holy Land sites where these moments took place, examine Scripture, and seek their own place in the story, considering how their behaviors might mirror that of a Judas or John, a Peter or Pilate.

The course is open to the public in hopes that all who wish to join will enjoy this chance to pause, reflect, dig deeper, and understand the significance of the suffering and death of Jesus in a way they may have never done before.

The series will take place in the Glover Undercroft at Trinity, 36 Main Street in Newtown. It will run Wednesdays, February 25 to March 25, meeting each week from 6 to 7:15 pm.

A simple soup supper will be provided.

The text, 24 Hours That Changed the World, will be available for purchase for $15.

To register, or for additional information, contact the parish office at 203-426-9070 or trinity@TrinityNewtownCT.org by February 22.
