A Few Good Democrats

The Newtown Democratic Town Committee has seats to fill on several important town commissions. You need to be a registered Democrat and be willing to put in the time and attend the meetings required for the position you would like to fill. To be considered, please contact any member of the Candidates Committee including Charles Pilchard, Candidates Committee Chairman, 426-5272, or Earl Smith, Chairman, Democratic Town Committee.

We need a person for each of the following: Cyrenius H. Booth Library Board of Trustees, Economic Development Commission, Board of Ethics and an Alternate, Lake Lillinonah Authority, Lake Zoar Authority, Park & Recreation Commission, and the Public Building & Site Commission.

These outstanding commissions serve our community well because of the excellent Newtown people who are willing to stop and work for all of us. I hope we can count on a few good Democrats to fill these seats. You may have friends who would be outstanding candidates for one of these positions, ask them to contact us.
