VNA 90th Anniversary

Comes To An End

To the Editor:

As all good things must come to an end, and so the Newtown VNA has concluded our 90th Anniversary series of events with an early morning Thank You Breakfast at Sal e Pepe’s.

For the whole year of 2008, the VNA has sponsored monthly free health events for the Newtown community. Our events included free skin cancer screening, hearing testing, meningitis vaccinations, family eye screening, women’s heart health, total joint replacements, sleep disorders, cardiovascular health, cholesterol screening, nutrition programs, chiropractic programs, cardiovascular walk and talk, and almost a whole month of flu clinics even including a first for Newtown — a drive-up flu clinic!

The Newtown VNA would like to thank all those physicians and medical people who made this whole year of health events possible by donating their time and effort to the Newtown VNA as we worked for the health of Newtown people. Among the physicians and medical people we would like to thank are Dr William Notoro, Dr Ronald Tietjen, Dr Robert Deveney, Dr Andrew Tucker, Nancy Messinger, Carol Maksimow, Dr Cary Passik, Dr Robert Moore, Barry Sheer, Dr Della Schmidt, Dr Alla Rudinskaya, Dr Gregory Lawler, Diane Burke, Eileen Coladarci, Dr Robert Grossman, Dr Thomas Draper, and the Bethel VNA and the Danbury VNA.

We really care for your health and we sincerely thank all those who help us work to keep Newtown Healthy!
