John Carbone
John Carbone, 90, of Housatonic Drive, Sandy Hook, formerly of Bridgeport and Monroe, died February 2 in Lord Chamberlain Nursing Home, Stratford. He was the husband of the late Hilda Carbone.
 Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on April 21, 1910, he was the son of the late Antonio and Rose (Tufano) Carbone. He was retired from Modern Plastics & Glass Co., Bridgeport.
He is survived by two daughters, Lillian Drotar of Atlantis, Fla., and Betty Ippolito of Oxford; one sister, Sue Stefano of Bridgeport; two brothers, Joseph Carbone of Bridgeport, and Ralph Carbone of Fort Pierce, Fla.; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Rose Luparello of Bridgeport, and Jean Carillo of Freeport, N.Y.; and two brothers, Gioacchino (Frank) Carbone and Salvatore Carbone of Ft Pierce, Fla.
Funeral services will be held at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, on Friday, February 9, at 11 am. Interment will be in St Rose Cemetery, Newtown.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 am on Friday.
