Newtown High School's gymnastics team scored 133.8 to win its competition against Joel Barlow of Redding and Nonnewaug at Gymnastics Revolution in Danbury on February 1.

The team's highest event average was on the beam with a score of 35.8. Hannah Jojo was first in the all around with a score of 35.4, and Marisa Choi placed second in the all around with a score of 33.35. Top NHS performances are as follows: Vault: Jojo 8.55, Choi 8.45. Bars: Jojo 8.65, Mary Locke 7.5. Beam: Jojo 9.2, Casey Sullivan 9.0, Choi 9.0, Locke and Katie Yeaton both had an 8.6. Floor: Jojo 9.0, Choi 8.9.
