Woman's Club Planning Fourth Annual Author Event
On Saturday, February 9, Newtown Woman’s Club will host its Fourth Annual Tea/Author Book Signing.
The special event will again be held at Newtown Country Club, 2 Country Club Road. It will run from 2 to 4 pm.
Cost for the event is $20, which includes tea, scones, finger sandwiches, fruit, and dessert.
Newtown resident Debra Sennefelder, the author of Food Blogger Mystery series and the Resale Boutique Mystery series, is this year’s featured author.
Ms Sennefelder is an avid reader who reads across a range of genres, but she says mystery fiction is her obsession. Her interest in people and relationships is channeled into her novels against a backdrop of crime and mystery.
She has three books scheduled for release this year: Murder Wears A little Black Dress, the first in her Resale Boutique series, is due January 22; The Hidden Corpse, the second title in the Food Blogger series, releases March 26; and Three Widows and A Corpse, the third Food Blogger title, is expected in November.
When she’s not reading, she enjoys cooking and baking and, as a former food blogger, she is constantly taking photographs of her food.
Ms Sennefelder was born and raised in New York City, where she majored in her hobby of fashion buying. She now lives and writes in Connecticut with her family. She worked in retail and publishing before becoming a full-time author. Her writing companions are her adorable and slightly spoiled Shih-Tzus, Susie and Billy.
Ms Sennefelder is a member of Sisters in Crime, International Thriller Writers, Women’s Fiction Writers Association, and Romance Writers of America.
