Jean G.       Senior

Jean G. Senior, 86, wife of the late Harvey A. Senior of Spruce Drive, Sandy Hook, died on January 27 at Danbury Hospital.

Mrs Senior was born in Bridgeport on February 23, 1918, a daughter of the late Norman M. and Agnes (Dawe) Collins. She was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Hygiene.

She was employed as a dental hygienist for Dr Lawrence Daum and later for Dental Associates in Newtown for 30 years, until her retirement in 1987.

A resident of Newtown for 50 years, Mrs Senior was a member of Newtown Congregational Church.

She is survived by a son, Jonathan M. Senior of Jarrettsville, Md.; a daughter, Laurie Putnam of New Milford; two granddaughters, Jennifer Burns and Jill Olejnicznak, both of New Milford; and a great-granddaughter, Anna Burns. She is also survived by her longtime companion, Lester Kuhn of Sandy Hook.

A memorial service will be held Friday, February 4, at 11 am, at Newtown Congregational Church, 14 West Street, Newtown. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.

Arrangements were by Honan Funeral Home in Newtown.
