Free Program On Ear Infections

NEW MILFORD — Philip Ho, MD, an ears, nose, and throat specialist, and audiologist Lorrie A. Bielen will present a health form, “Ear Infections — Diagnosis & Treatment,” on Thursday, February 24, from 6:45 to 8:30 pm, in the New Milford Hospital Robison conference rooms.

Ear problems and diseases are treated quite differently in children and adults. Common ear disorders in youth that are usually easily and successfully treated include middle ear infection (otitis media), swimmer’s ear, and “flop ear.” In adults, however, ear diseases are often more complex and often not easily identified or resolved.

Dr Ho discusses the wide spectrum of ear disorders, both pediatric and adult, with attention to signs and symptoms, risk factors, medical treatments, and surgical options. In addition, Dr Ho and audiologist Bielen focus on hearing loss, assist devices, listening aids and testing, and tinnitus (ringing). A question and answer session follows the presentation.

This program is free and open to the public. Preregistration is requested by calling 860-350-7215.
