Second City Touring Company To Perform at Fairfield Univ.
FAIRFIELD â The touring company from The Second City, the cradle of comedy that spawned Joan Rivers, John Belushi, Bill Murray and Stephen Colbert, will bring an evening of laughs to Fairfield Universityâs Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts, on North Benson Road. The performance will be on Saturday, February 18, at 8 pm.
Since 1959 The Second City has been a bastion of the countryâs best sketch comedy and improv, boasting an alumni roster that is practically a Whoâs Who of American Comedy.
In 1967 the company developed The Second City Touring Company, spreading improvisational mayhem across the country. The troupe performs in colleges, clubs, theaters, festivals and conventions nationwide, offering a selection of hilarious classic scenes and songs as well as original improvisations.
Tickets are $30 and $25. For tickets, call the Quick Center box office at 203-254-4010 or 877-ARTS-396 (877-278-7396).
