Penelope H. Barrett, 61, of Sugar Street, Newtown, co-owner of Meadowbrook Terrace Mobile Home Park, died January 27 in Danbury Hospital.
She was born in Plainfield, N.J., on May 23, 1944, a daughter of William P. and Ruth (Oaster) Henckel. Mrs Barrett was a resident of Newtown for more than 50 years and was a graduate of Newtown High School, Class of 1962.
Survivors include two sons, David W. Barrett and his wife, Dawn, of Sandy Hook, and Steven M. Barrett of Newtown; two daughters, Jennifer L. Barrett of Newtown and Robin E. Barrett of Southbury; three grandchildren, Hannah G. Barrett, Seth D. Barrett, and Abiane H. Barrett; a brother, William E. Henckel of Newtown; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service and interment will take place at Newtown Village Cemetery in the spring.
