Nissan Accident
Motorist Daniel Palermo, 16, of 45 Cedar Hill Road, who was driving a 1996 Nissan Altima, was making a left turn from Joan Drive onto Bari Drive about 2 pm on January 30, when a dog ran into the roadway, police said.
In attempting to avoid striking the dog, Palermo lost control of the auto and struck some curbing and a small section of lawn at 11 Bari Drive, police said. There were no injuries.
Daniel Palermo was driving the vehicle on a learnerâs permit, police said. Robert Palermo, 46, of 45 Cedar Hill Road, who was a passenger in the Nissan, was listed as the instructor on that permit, so police verbally warned Robert Palermo for making a restricted turn.
