Occupation: I am chief technology officer at Accucom Consulting in Westport. We do computer and networking consulting all over the tri-state area.

Family: My wife, Katherine. We have been married 18 years. We have three sons, Ryan, 17, who is a junior at Newtown High School, Connor, 13, an eighth grader at Newtown Middle School, and Cory, who is 10 and in the fifth grade at Reed Intermediate.

Pets: We have a dog, a Lhasa Apso, named Dusty. Dusty is about 3 years old. And Connor has a couple of gecko lizards. They live in his room.

How long have you lived in Newtown? We moved to Newtown in 1987.

What do you like to do in your free time? I am a Cub Scout master for St Rose Pack 570. I’ve been involved in the scouting program for 11 years. I’m also involved in Boy Scouts as a committee member for Troop 370. We do like to go camping and boating as a family, and I’m a member of the American Legion in town.

Do you have a favorite sport? I follow NASCAR. My favorite driver is Matt Kenseth. It’s exciting to watch the races. I’ve always been a bit of a car buff and like working on cars.

Do you have a favorite travel destination? We’ve gone to Cape Cod quite a bit lately, so I’d have to say John’s Pond. That’s in Mashpee. We like fishing there and canoeing. The week we always try to go is during the Barnstable Fair. It’s a really big agricultural fair.

What is the best thing about Newtown? I would have to say that it maintains a country feel. We live in the Lake Zoar area, so we get to use the lake quite a bit. I love the woods and the outdoors, so Newtown does it for me.

If you could time travel, would you go to the past or the future? I think I would go to the past. I had an enjoyable childhood, spent a lot of time outdoors. I would love to revisit that sense of freedom, a time when there were no worries.

Do you have a personal philosophy? Be honest and true to yourself and others. Treat others the way you would wish to be treated. Always try to challenge yourself.

What do you most cherish? My family, for sure. We spend a lot of time together and I very much enjoy that time.
