Gertrude Pillo Carbone

Gertrude Pillo Carbone, 92, of Fairfield, died on January 31. Mrs Carbone had been an area resident her entire life and was the widow of Louis C. Carbone.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Louis J. and Heidi Carbone of Newtown, and Diana and Raymond Tomasko of Fairfield; four grandchildren, David, Kerry, Patricia and Christopher Carbone; her great-grandson, Bryant Carbone; a brother, Joseph Pillo of Milford; a sister, Helen Gaffney of Stratford; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, February 4 at 11 am from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at noon in St Pius X Church, Fairfield, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St John Cemetery, Stratford.

Calling hours were scheduled Thursday, February 3, from 4 to 8 pm.
