Newtown Police are reaching out this morning with a request to the public to help identify a person of interest in an investigation.

Police have provided two photos that appear to be surveillance photos from a store security camera.

Newtown Department of Police Services Jason L. Frank says the department is attempting to identify the person in the photos.

“The investigation involves the unauthorization/larceny of a credit card in the amount of $5,000,” Det Frank stated.

The cards, according to the detective, have been used at Best Buy in Danbury, the Apple Store in Danbury Mall, and a Starbucks in Danbury.

The male is described as being Hispanic, and approximately 50-60 years old.

Anyone who recognizes the male in the photos is asked to contact Detective Frank at 203-270-4229 or jason.frank@newtown-ct.com.
