Judy Blakeman
Judy Lockwood Blakeman, passed away on January 20, 2019, in Hollywood, Fla. Judy was born in Danbury to parents Earl and Ruth Lockwood on July 15, 1939.
She resided in Sandy Hook and graduated from Newtown High School. She relocated to Florida and was the owner operator of the Hacienda Motor Inn in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. She was active in community affairs and enjoyed volunteer work with the needy.
She is survived by her children, Marlene (David) Russell, Eugene Blakeman, Jr, Michael Blakeman, and Michele Blakeman; grandchildren, Cassandra DePillis, Chrystal Llanusa, Nicole Blakeman, Matthew Russell, and Steven Russell; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Florence Erickson, Robert (Lillian) Lockwood, George (Carol) Lockwood, Linda (John) Barry, and Jean Knoche.
She was predeceased by her parents, Earl and Ruth Lockwood; brothers, Earl Jr, Fred, and Harold Lockwood; sisters, Doris Foshay, Ruth Cabral, and Joan Lockwood.
Funeral Services were held at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on January 25, 2019.
