To the Editor:

I have been following the news stories about the Lanza home, which has been given to the town and is scheduled for demolition. As a former 35 year resident of Sandy Hook and Newtown, I’m thinking it would be a wonderful and healing idea to rename Yogananda Street to something more refreshing that wouldn’t always be connected to the Adam Lanza tragedy. Perhaps then there wouldn’t be so many curious people driving by the site to take pictures.

Perhaps the residents could be polled and would agree?  Both of my children attended Sandy Hook School in the 1970s and graduated from Newtown High School.  We try to get back whenever we can.
