Valuable Contributions

To the Editor:

On behalf of the Mary Hawley Society and the Edmond Town Hall Board of Managers, a sincere thank you to The Newtown Woman’s Club and the Rotary Club of Newtown for their donations toward the new kitchen in the Alexandria Room.

The Newtown Woman’s Club, under the direction of JoAnn Bruno, held a Stay At Home Tea which raised well over $6,500. The proceeds from this successful fundraiser have been directly applied toward purchasing essential appliances for the new kitchen.

Our thanks, too, to the Rotary Club of Newtown for its past donations to the new kitchen fund and for donating the cost of the new commercial stove that is the centerpiece of the new kitchen. It should see us through decades of Pancake Days!

We are most appreciative for this community support at a time when it was so critical to have the new kitchen up and running by December 1.

Thank you hardly seems adequate for the valuable contributions made by these two organizations.
