St Rose Presents ‘The Princess And The Pea’

The Missoula Children’s Theatre and St Rose School will be coming together again this year in St Rose School’s brand-new Gathering Hall for a production of The Princess and the Pea at 7 pm Friday, February 13. Tickets may be purchased at the door for $10 per person.

The Missoula Children’s Theatre is the largest traveling children’s theater company in the nation and is based in Missoula, Mont. The company arrives in town on Sunday, February 8, holds a group audition at St Rose School for grades 1 through 8 on Monday and begins rehearsals the following day. In less than four days the company teaches the cast of children their lines, choreography, and songs, the week culminating in Friday night’s show. The company brings all of the costumes and equipment necessary to produce the shows and packs up and moves on to another location the next day.

This year’s performance, The Princess and the Pea is the story of a Prince in search of a Princess to share his snowy kingdom.  The Princess and her friend, the Pea, live in a kingdom of green rolling hills. The two kingdoms believe that they have nothing in common, but a group of leprechauns prove otherwise.
