Entrepreneurs Wanted: MERG Meets February 3
Entrepreneurs Wanted: MERG Meets February 3
MERIDEN âConnecticutâs Micro Enterprise Resource Group (MERG) was originally established in the fall of 2004 in response to a need for advocacy on behalf of micro business owners throughout the state.
The group meets every first Tuesday of every month at 965 East Main Street, at the offices of Community Economic Development Fund. The February 3 meeting is at 3:30 pm.
What is micro enterprise?
*A locally owned business
*A business with fewer than ten employees
*A business capitalized with less than $50,000.
MERG leadership is comprised of micro entrepreneurs and is proud to be the combined voice of micro enterprise in Connecticut. In carrying out its mission to advocate for and promote the interests of micro enterprises, the organization achieved many of its goals in 2008, including the participation in various tradeshows, including two Connecticut Small and Minority Business Showcases, the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce Business Expo, the Hartford Business Expo, and its own three-day exhibit on the concourse at the Legislature Office Building.
Anyone interested in the opportunity to unite with other entrepreneurs and business owners helping to make a difference in the business economy in Connecticut can visit www.mergct.org for more information.
