Terry A. Barrett

Terry A. Barrett, 73, of Ocala, Fla., and formerly of Danbury and Newtown, died January 27 after an extended illness. He was the husband of Carol (Stone) Barrett. He was born on February 2, 1941, in Danbury, and was the son of the late Margaret (Fowler) and Arthur Barrett of Georgetown.

Mr Barrett retired from Perkin Elmer after 20 years of service, and ran a successful courier service for many years out of Danbury.

He enjoyed photography, collecting eclectic art, cooking, and the companionship of his two cats that were always by his side.

In addition to his wife, his children David, and his wife Dawn, of Newtown, Jennifer of Newtown, Robin of Southbury, Steven, and his wife Annette, of Oakville; four grandchildren Hannah, Seth, Abiane, and Alyssa; his brother Brian Barrett of Danbury; his stepchildren Diane Cuoco, and her husband Scott, of Windermere, Fla., their children Josh, Ashley, Blake and Trevor, and Dawn Ramadon and her husband Tom, of Bartlett, N.H., and children Caitlyn Hysler and Jessie Niccoletti  survive Mr Barrett. His first wife, Penelope Henckel Barrett, predeceased him in 2006.

A private memorial will be held in the spring at the convenience of the family.
