Raffle Winners Announced

Newtown Rotary Club held the drawing for its recent fundraising raffle on Sunday, January 24, at Newtown Country Club.

The first prize, a 46-inch Sony Bravia HDTV and Sony Blu-Ray Surround Sound Home Theater, was won by Lou Galie of Newtown. Second prize, a $500 Visa gift card, was won by Ray Keegan of Newtown. Caroline Corbett of Sandy Hook won the third prize, a Nintendo Wii Game Console. The fourth prize, a $100 gift card redeemable at Exxon/Mobil Stations, was won by Sandy Salvato of Naugatuck. Diane Siroky of Newtown won a $50 gift card redeemable at Exxon/Mobil Stations, the fifth prize.

Rotary Club President Bill Calderara stated that the fundraiser was very successful and thanked Dan Honan for his efforts as chairman of the raffle.

“The proceeds of this raffle will be split between Newtown Rotary’s charitable efforts in our local community and to support the relief efforts for the earthquake victims in Haiti,” Mr Calderara added.
