Can Market In NOFA Guide
OXFORD â Connecticutâs chapter of NOFA, the Northeast Organic Farming Association, has begun to edit this yearâs CT NOFA Farm & Food Guide and invites all member farms, community farms, and businesses that support CT NOFA farms to be listed. Last year NOFA distributed 12,000 copies of the Guide to consumers looking for organic, sustainable and local produce, products and services.
Anyone with a 2009 listing will soon receive a letter asking to verify contact information and listing details, along with a copy of the 2010 Farmerâs Pledge, for those who wish to be a participant in that program.
To have a listing in the Guide, a farm or business must be a CT NOFA member. Those who did not have a listing in last yearâs Guide can print, fill out, and mail a listing reservation to the office from the organizationâs website.
Details about organic certification and the Farmerâs Pledge program can be found there, along with a printable Farmerâs Pledge form.
There are also opportunities to advertise in the Guide âCT NOFA membership is not required for placing an ad, although lower rates are available for members.
