Choral Society Spring Rehearsals Begin February 3; Newcomers Welcome

Newtown Choral Society, under the direction of Mary Andreotta, will begin its spring concert rehearsals at 7 pm on Wednesday, February 3, at Newtown Middle School, on Queen Street.

The choral society, now in its 23rd year, is a non-audition choir which welcomes members from all area towns. Call 203-426-3769 or email lel-choir@se-ltd.com for more information. New members are welcome at the first rehearsal. There are openings for all voices.

The Choral Society’s spring concert will be sentimental favorites, suggested by choir members.  These pieces may have been sung by the choir previously, or may be individual favorites brought to the director’s attention. The concert is scheduled for Saturday, May 15, at 7:30 pm, at Newtown Meeting House, Main Street.

Newtown Choral Society performs two main concerts year at Newtown Meeting House, as well as performing at weddings and other functions.
